Bill E. Crusoe, 77, of Piqua, died at 8:29 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Hospice of Miami County. He was born May 9, 1944 in Dayton to the late Harold L. and Mary C. (Carley) Crusoe.
Survivors include one daughter, Chelle Crusoe of Piqua; a close friend, Robert Price of Piqua; two grandchildren, Jazmyn Crusoe-Price, Dylan Crusoe-Price; two great grandchildren, Peyton, Jacob; a brother, Randy Crusoe of Troy; two nephews, Aaron Crusoe, Benjamin Crusoe; and his beloved dog, Tiger.
Bill was a 1962 graduate of Piqua Central High School and went on to earn his welding certificate. He served proudly in the United States Army where he was an MP in the Dominican Republic. He worked as a “jack of all trades” for over twenty-five years at Aerovent where he used his talents as a welder, truck driver, maintenance man, and Union Steward. He then went on to work as an assembler for ITW for ten years before his retirement in 2004. Bill was a devout member of the National Rifle Association. He was known for his love of guns, knives and dogs. He was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Reds and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He enjoyed tending to his lawn and took great pride in his yard and his vegetable garden. He will be deeply missed by his loving family.
A private service to honor his life will be held at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. Private burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery where full military honors will be provided by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Monday, May 9, 2022 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Miami County Animal Shelter, 1110 N.
