Beverly Jean Kaser, 86, of Piqua, passed away peacefully at 4:51 p.m. Sunday, October 1, 2023 at Piqua Manor. She was born March 14, 1937 in Sidney to the late Homer and Iona (Brown) Shawler. She married Hugh F. Kaser May 28, 1955 in Sidney and he preceded her in death November 27, 1993.
Other survivors include a daughter, Robyn Cooper of Piqua; five grandchildren, Matthew Kaser, Steven Kaser, Ronald (Erika) Cooper, Catherine (Steve) Terry, and Jed (Megan) Cooper; six great grandchildren; and her daughter in law, Penny Kaser of Covington; also many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Randal and Mickey Kaser; three siblings, John Shawler, Kay Miller, and Betty Townsend; and her son in law, Ronald Cooper.
Beverly was a graduate of Sidney High School, Class of 1955. She worked at Sunoco and as a paper stuffer for the Piqua Daily Call. Beverly was very close with the Ellis family and helped in their home and had the privilege of helping raise their children. She enjoyed bananas and playing bingo, and kept her teddy bear Rosie close to her at all times. Beverly was also an animal lover, especially cats. Above all Beverly loved her family and enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren.
A service to honor her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 6, 2023 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. Will Leasure officiating. Burial will follow the service at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 5, 2023 also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ohio's Hospice of Miami County, 3230 N. County Road 25A, Troy, Ohio 45373.
