Beatrice B. Berry, 85, of Piqua, went home to be with the Lord at 1:15 a.m. Friday, May 3, 2024 at Hospice of Miami County. She was born January 14, 1939 in Troy to the late Archie J. and Ruth A. (Pickering) Berry, Sr.
Survivors include a brother, David Michael (Yvonne) Berry of Piqua and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Archie Berry, Jr., Richard Berry, Robert Berry; and eight sisters, Donnajean Lange, Josephine Gibson, Dottie Wagner, Bessie Spencer, Linda Meyers, Caroline Cotton, Mary Webster, and Shirley Wagner.
Ms. Berry was a 1957 graduate of Piqua Central High School and a 1980 graduate of Liberty Home Bible Institute in Lynchburg, Virginia. She retired from Citifinancial in Sidney after 35 years of service. She had formerly worked for the Piqua Daily Call and Hill’s Jewelers. She was a past member of Liberty Baptist Church and Piqua Baptist Church and was an active member of New Covenant Church in Sidney. Bea taught Sunday school at Piqua Baptist for over 20 years. She also loved to sing and was a member of the church choirs over the years. Additionally, she was a talented artist and painter and also enjoyed working adult coloring books as well as word searches.
A service to honor her life will begin at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Pastor Scott New officiating. Private burial will be held at Miami Memorial Park, Covington. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
