Amy Robinson of Piqua, passed away peacefully at 1:30 a.m. Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County after a valiant battle with cancer.
Amy was born April 10, 1957 in Dayton and was nearly a lifelong resident of Piqua. She worked at Sellman’s Furniture, Covington for many years until the store’s closure and finished her working career at Mutual Federal Bank in Piqua.
Amy loved and enjoyed her family, friends, animals, cooking, baking, gardening, helping others and solving a challenging Jumble puzzle. She had a kind, gentle soul and an unforgettable laugh.
She was preceded in death by her parents William A. “Bill” and Martha (Millard) Robinson, her brothers Marc, Jody, Jeff Robinson and her stepmother Shirley Robinson. Amy is survived by her siblings, Sam (Linda) Robinson of Piqua, Marci Robinson of Piqua, Merry Robinson of Kettering, Todd (Katie) Robinson of Indianapolis, Indiana; a host of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Amy enjoyed many dear friends. The family would like to express special thanks to Kathy Ward, Missy Bausman and Jill Baker for their support during her illness and while she was in hospice care. The Robinsons also offer their deepest gratitude to Dr. Joseph Lavelle, the Kettering Health Cancer Care team and Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County for their dedicated and compassionate care. We also thank Amy’s work family at Mutual Federal Bank for their kindness and generosity over the three-year course of her illness. In the spirit of medical science, Amy donated her body to the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine.
A time to honor her life is planned from 12:30-2:30 p.m. Saturday, October 22, 2022 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home.
