ALLEN E. PREUSS

Allen E. Preuss, 71, of Piqua, passed away at 3:29 a.m. Sunday, August 22, 2021 at the Hospice Unit of Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born July 16, 1950 in Dayton to the late Edward C. and Dorothy Pauline (Ewing) Preuss. He married Jane E. Schwabenland ; and she survives.

Other survivors include a son, Matthew (Amy) Preuss of Birmingham, Alabama; two daughters, Amy (Justin) Wolfe of Piqua, Mandy (Mark) Wilson of Tipp City; seven grandchildren; and five siblings, Sue (Terry) Weatherhead of Troy, Paul Preuss of Tampa, Florida, Debbie (Greg) Saum of Trotwood, Mike (Raquel) Preuss of Beavercreek, Mark Preuss of Huber Heights.

Allen was a graduate of Vandalia Butler High School and retired as a Plastics Engineer from SIPA North America, Inc. of Atlanta. Additionally, he was an Instructor for the ITT Institute and worked part-time at Home Depot. His passion was his faith mission which led him to become an Elder of Jehovah’s Witnesses which allowed him to reach out door-to-door teaching the Bible to people, and be involved in the construction of 149 Kingdom Halls and two Assembly campuses throughout Ohio.  He will be remembered for his love of family, and positive impact on many individuals.

A service to honor his life will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses via Zoom (Meeting ID: 858 2820 8779 Passcode: 876388) on Saturday, September 4 at 4:00 p.m. with Rob Schnur as the Presider. Arrangements are being provided to his family through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Allen’s name are encouraged to Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall, 3967 Washington Rd., Covington, OH 45318.
