Alicia J. Larger, 38, of Celina, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, November 2, 2023 at the St. Marys Joint Township Hospital. She was born September 19, 1985 in Dayton to Jayson Mumaw of Piqua and Joyce (Miller) Mumaw of Troy. She married Travis J. Larger September 19, 2020 in Wapakoneta; and he survives.
Other survivors include her three children, who were the light of her life, Mason, Macy, Peyton all at home; a stepson, Blake Larger of Anna; a sister, Lisa (Kevin) Queen of Tipp City; a brother, Jayson (Vanessa) Mumaw II of Piqua; and her grandfather, Douglas Miller of Troy. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Myrtle Mumaw, James Mumaw, Darlene Miller; and an uncle, James Mumaw II.
Alicia was a 2004 graduate of Piqua High School and went on to earn her Certificate of Cosmetology from Miami-Jacobs College. She worked as an independent cosmetologist for Fringe 217 Salon & Spa. She was a devoted and loving mother who truly enjoyed the roll of “Soccer Mom” and “Baseball Mom”. She loved her children more than anything, and was always pushing them to be their best at anything they tried. She was an incredible motivator, confidant, and role model for her kids; and her light will continue to shine through them. She enjoyed being outside in nature, whether it be taking long walks or spending time fishing and being on the boat with her husband. She was very giving of her time and money to various charities; but loved sharing her talents for good, especially when she was able to visit area nursing homes and offer haircuts, manicures and pedicures to the residents. She enjoyed the ability to make them all feel very special. She will be deeply missed.
A service to honor her life will begin at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Hickernell officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Alicia’s memory to any children’s charity of choice. Guestbook condolences and expressions of sympathy, to be provided to the family, may be expressed through jamiesonandyannucci.com
