Aaron N. Crusoe, 47, of Piqua, passed away at 9:24 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2026 in the comfort of his home. He was born April 29, 1978 in Dayton to Randy Crusoe of Troy and Dorothy (Williamson) Crusoe of Piqua. He is survived by his brother, Ben Crusoe of Piqua; along with numerous loving family members and dear friends from all walks of life.
Aaron was a 1996 graduate of Piqua High School and later attended what was then known as The Recording Workshop in Chillicothe where he learned Audio Engineering and Music Production. For approximately 20 years, he worked as an Event Manager for A Learning Place; later, Romer’s Catering, where he took great pride in his work and valued the many connections he made along the way. Aaron also had a passion for learning. He enjoyed researching and educating himself on a wide range of subjects, particularly technology and finance. He was well-studied in financial markets and was disciplined in both long and short term momentum trading strategies. He was an avid sports fan; he faithfully followed the Las Vegas Raiders and the Michigan Wolverines football and basketball programs. He had a deep love for music, especially live music, and was a devoted fan of bands like the Grateful Dead and Phish. Beyond the music itself, Aaron loved the culture, community, and most importantly, the people that surrounded it. In his free time, Aaron enjoyed running and exercising. He spent time researching fitness, health, and nutrition, and strived to maintain a healthy body and mind. Aaron also faced significant health challenges in recent years. Over the past four years as Aaron’s severe illnesses (including Ehlers-Danlos syndrome) progressed, he continued to fight with everything he had every single day to be able to stay on this earth with us. Due to a severely negligent and irresponsible medical mistake last year, Aaron also developed Arachnoiditis. He wished for much more awareness, support, and research for EDS and Arachnoiditis. Despite these struggles, he remained committed to learning, staying active, and living life with determination and kindness. Aaron had a huge heart and was known for his kindness to everyone he met. He had a warm personality and was always approachable, making people feel welcome and appreciated.
A celebration of Aaron’s life will be held at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Romer's Catering in Piqua.
