Obituary

MARVIN E. EPLEY

Marvin E. Epley, 77, of Covington, passed away peacefully at 12:38 p.m. Saturday, November 25, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 15, 1940 in Troy to the late Marvin F. and Hariet (Wintrow) Epley. He married Delitha M. Green June 27, 1959 in Scott County, Tennessee, and she survives.

Other survivors include three sons, Marvin Dale (Lori) Epley of Troy, Chris (Kelly) Epley of Greenville, Joseph (Nichole) Epley of Piqua; two daughters, Rebecca (Chuck) Wagner, Cheryl (Scott) Kolker all of Piqua; fourteen grandchildren, Amber, Chuck Jr., Gregory, Matthew, A.J., Whitney, Brett, Jordan, Jeffrey, Joseph, Michael, David, Kelli, Ginger; 23 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Randy Epley, Gail Epley, Sam Epley, David Epley; and a sister, Isabelle Coffee. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Scott, Larry, Bill; a sister, Nancy; a daughter, Janet Faye; and a son Ronnie.

Mr. Epley was a member of Abundant Life Church. He was a dedicated employee and retired from the Hartzell Saw Mill, Piqua after 39 years. He was a gifted woodcrafter and auto mechanic. He loved spending time outdoors fishing, hunting, gardening and camping with his family. He also enjoyed watching western films, especially John Wayne. He loved his family deeply and will be missed.

A service to honor his life will begin at 10 am Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Gray and Rev. Michael Garber officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association 15120 Collections Center Dr., Lock Box 15120, Chicago, IL 60693 or the American Cancer Society 2808 Reading Rd.
