Obituary

HELEN M. LEHMANN

Helen (McMaster) Lehmann, 90, went into the arms of Jesus, on Friday, April 6, 2018, in the home that she had made over the last 11 years with her daughter Christine and son-in-Love Paul Voorhis. She was born April 5, 1928 in Sidney to the late Fern E and Caroline C. (Martz) McMaster.

A 1946 graduate of Sidney High School, she retired from Copeland Corporation of Sidney and was a lifelong member of the Lutheran faith. Helen enjoyed doing crosswords in INK, reading, puzzles, crocheting gifts for those she loved and watching westerns. She loved to keep a clean and organized home. She was well known for her superb cooking and baking. Everyone always devoured her pies, cookies and candy with gusto. Helen was brave, bold, tenacious, loving, caring and had a sarcastic humor. Filled with a grasp for common sense she was a source of answers and solutions for all who knew her. In retirement she and her husband enjoyed traveling, especially during the summers to participate at steam thresher shows throughout Ohio.

Reunited with the loved ones who preceded her in death; husband Willis Lehmann; son Robert Lovett; brother Everett McMaster, brother Bill and sister-in-law Mary Lou McMaster; sisters and brothers-in-law Kathryn Smith, Virginia and Wilber Lindsey, Patricia Clayton, Janet and Emerson Taylor.

She will be deeply missed by daughter and son-in-Love, Christine and Paul Voorhis of Piqua; brothers and sisters-in-law, Elmer and Phyllis McMaster of California, Tom and Ann McMaster of Piqua; sister-in-law Nellie McMaster of Kettlersville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A service to honor her life will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney with Hospice Chaplain Harry Stewart officiating. Her family is being serviced through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to one’s favorite charity in Helen’s honor.
