Gerald B. Reinke, 65, of Troy, died at 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2017 at Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born May 30, 1951 in East Cleveland to the late Glenn M. and Stephanie (Kvaternik) Reinke. He married Phyllis V. Smead August 12, 1972 in Coopersville, Michigan and she survives.
Other survivors include a son, Bryan Reinke of Tempe, Arizona; a daughter, Erin (Christopher Jones) Reinke of Troy; a granddaughter, Elliot Jones; a grandson, Rhett Jones; two brothers, Bruce (Janice) Reinke of Utica, Michigan, Bob (Pamela) Reinke of Sterling Heights, Michigan. He was preceded in death by a son, Scott Christopher Reinke on February 3, 1977.
Mr. Reinke was a 1969 graduate of Avondale High School in Auburn Heights, Michigan and a 1973 graduate of Northern Michigan University as a business management major. He worked as a retail manager for K-Mart stores from which he retired after 37 years. He was a member and past president of Kiwanis International in the Gaylord, Michigan area as well as a past member of Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
A private service to honor his life will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are being provided to the family through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home.
