Elizabeth A. "Betty" Cain, 92, of Piqua, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior at 3:55 a.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 25, 1924 in Sidney to the late Edward and Mahala Pike. She married Francis E. "Frank" Cain December 6, 1947 in Piqua, he preceded her in death September 15, 2001.
Survivors include a daughter, Mitchy (Art) Weldon of Travelers Rest, South Carolina; ten grandchildren, Randy (Laura) Collins, Shari (Barney) Collins-Sale, Matt Wagner, Adam (Jess) Wagner, Rob (Jessica) Wagner, Lisa (Matt) Bagley, A J (Kristin) Weldon, Emily (Ryan) Moss, Jeremy Weldon, Crystal Collins; eighteen great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Wagner a grandson, Greg Collins and several brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Cain retired from Arby's Restaurants. She was a dedicated member of the Salvation Army Corp having played the Base Drum and Autoharp in its Band, taught Sunday School and active with the Junior Soldiers. Additionally, she served as a Leader of Girl Scouts, Sunbeam Girl Guards, a Camp Counselor and active with the Seniors Citizens Club and Home League. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed crafts and teaching children. She will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.
A service to honor her life will begin at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 6, 2017 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Majors Robert Kramer and Robert Klenk co-officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Memorial Park, Covington. Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army Corp, 129 S.
