Altman Schrubb, 91, of Piqua, passed away at 9:31 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Piqua Manor Nursing Home. She was born April 24, 1926 in Springfield to the late Floyd G. and Ethel F. (Young) Hayman. She married James F. Schrubb October 26, 1946 in Springfield, he preceded her in death December 25, 2012.

Survivors include two sons, Brian James (Deborah) Schrubb of Miamisburg, Keith David Schrubb of Piqua; two daughters, Aileen Marie (John) Dundon of Springfield, Barbara Ann Schrubb of St. Marys; a daughter-in-law, Kristina Scheer Schrubb; a former daughter-in-law, Aggie Schrubb Baumann; twelve grandchildren, Brad (Jen) Dundon, James Dundon, Johnny Dundon, Mary (Luke) Vanover, Tracy McKenna, Nathan Schrubb, Amanda Schrubb, Jeramie (Alisha) Schrubb, Aaron (Liz) Schrubb, Phillip (Laura) Schrubb, Allen Schrubb, Katey Scheer; twenty-three great grandchildren; and a sister, Marjorie (Gordon) Enlow of Florida. She was preceded in death by son Patrick J. Schrubb, a daughter Catherine Louise Schrubb, four brothers and four sisters.

Mrs. Schrubb was a 1945 graduate of Springfield High School and retired as a Buyer from the Hartzell Propeller/Fan Company following seventeen years of service. She was a devout member of St. Mary Catholic Church where she was very active in many committees over the years including the Altar Society. She loved her family, was a wonderful homemaker and with her husband enjoyed Western Square Dancing and traveling. As a sports enthusiast, she was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Bengals and University of Dayton Flyers. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and many friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 13, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Thomas L. Bolte as the Celebrant. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home where a prayer service will be conducted at 5 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fr. Thomas J. Grilliot Scholarship Fund, 310 S. Downing St., Piqua, OH 45356 or St. Mary Church, 528 Broadway, Piqua, OH 45356.
